When we have more than one Full Moon in a lunar cycle (a month), we call this a “Blue Moon”. In rare occasions, we can have up to four Full Moons in a lunar cycle! These are extremely rare, of course, and regardless of how many Blue Moons there are in a month, they are all rare events and therefore, seen as particularly auspicious times.

In fact, this is where the saying, “once in a blue moon” comes from: to signify the occurrence of an unlikely event.

A Blue Moon is also a Full Moon, and will therefore have the same energy as a Full Moon would have in whatever sign it happens to be in, but at a much stronger vibration...so take advantage of this opportunity!
